The Frederic Lizzi Early Career Award was established in 2008 to honor Dr. Frederic L. Lizzi, a pioneer in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound. This award recognizes Early Career achievements and celebrates their bright futures in the field of therapeutic ultrasound. This award is given by the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU), which is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 to increase and diffuse knowledge of therapeutic ultrasound to the scientific and medical community, and to facilitate the translation of therapeutic ultrasound techniques into the clinical area for the benefit of patients worldwide.
