Dr. Bader appointed as Vice-Chair for the Bioeffects Committee at AIUM

Dr. Kenneth Bader has been appointed as Vice-Chair for the Bioeffects Committee at the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). The primary task of the Bioeffects Committee is to educate end users on potential non-diagnostic interactions with ultrasound, specifically negative bioeffects. For instance, this committee is responsible in part for the ‘Medical Ultrasound Safety’ document that is supposed to be provided with each ultrasound scanner. The committee is comprised of people in basic science academia, physicians, industry, and regulatory agencies.

Dr. Bader will serve as Vice-Chair for the Bioeffects Committee for two years, after which he will be promoted to the Chair position.

Congratulations Dr. Bader!
