Radiology Physics Resident, Dr. Blunt, wins Jack Krohmer Junior Investigator Competition at the 2020 AAPM Annual Meeting

Congratulations to first-year physics resident, Kayla Blunt, on winning the Jack Krohmer Junior Investigator Competition at the 2020 AAPM Annual Meeting. Her winning abstract is entitled "Model Observers Predict Radiologists' Detection of Retained Foreign Objects in Homogenous and Anthropomorphic Backgrounds". Dr. Kayla Blunt's mentor for this work is Dr. Ingrid Reiser. Dr. Blunt will present the work at the upcoming 2020 AAPM annual meeting in a format of virtual oral presentation. There were 109 submissions to this Junior Investigator Competition. The award is given to one of the two top scoring abstracts according to criteria of significance, innovation, and the potential for major scientific impact.
