This year as part of the Society of Interventional Radiology's 2023 planned annual meeting in Phoenix AZ, Dr. Osman Ahmed, co-director of the department's D&I Council, was invited to serve as a speaker during a special D&I session.
Dr. Ahmed sat on a panel alongside Drs. Garcia-Reyes, and Newsome, to discuss the topic of Improving Diversity in the IR Suite: A Multi-Dimensional Perspective. Dr. Ahmed spoke on Diversity and Inclusion: Becoming an Ally. Our department is proud of the dedication and leadership Dr. Ahmed shows to D&I work and its efforts in IR!
