On July 1st, 2024, Steffen Sammet, M.D., Ph.D. was awarded the Badge of Honor in Silver by the Germany Society for Medical Physics (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinische Physik) in Berlin, Germany, in recognition and appreciation for his contributions to the society and the field of medical physics over the last 25 years. The Germany Society for Medical Physics is a member of the European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics and the International Organization for Medical Physics. Dr. Sammet maintains a German medical license and on-going board certification with the German Society for Medical Physics (DGMP), the American Board of Radiology (ABR), and the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety (ABMRS).
