Effective July 1, 2025, Ingrid Reiser, PhD will be promoted to Professor of Radiology.
Dr. Reiser joined the Department of Radiology at the University of Chicago in 2002 as a Postdoctoral Scholar. She later served as a Research Assistant Professor from 2007 to 2014 before being appointed Assistant Professor in 2014 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2018.
An American Board of Radiology (ABR)-certified clinical medical physicist, Dr. Reiser is one of five faculty members in the Radiology Clinical Physics Section responsible for ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance for all radiological imaging equipment at UCM’s Hyde Park site and multiple offsite facilities, including Orland Park, River East, Dearborn, South Loop, and Homewood. She is a recognized leader in X-ray imaging physics, with particular expertise in mammography, radiography and CT physics."
