We are pleased to announce that Satish Chitneni, PhD, has been appointed as Faculty Director of the Cyclotron Facility effective March 1, 2025. Satish joined Radiology in July 2023 and was appointed Faculty Co-Director of the Cyclotron Facility in October 2023.
As the sole Faculty Director after this transition, Satish works and collaborates closely with Richard Freifelder, PhD, Program Director of the Cyclotron Facility since its early planning stage in 2014, on managing the Cyclotron Facility, and continues to be in charge of and responsible for all matters related to chemistry and radiochemistry.
Chin-Tu Chen, PhD, who spearheaded the planning and re-establishing of the Cyclotron Facility from 2002 to 2017 when he became the inaugural Faculty Director, now assists me in organizing the new Internal Advisory Committee and External Advisory Committee to facilitate and enable the Cyclotron Facility in ensuring its growing and successful future.
