UChicago Medicine Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Highlights Dr Giger’s QuantX technology and Drs Sheth’s and Karczmar’s Ultrafast Abbreviated MRI

As part of the Together We Answer Cancer campaign, UChicago Medicine is featuring patient stories and highlighting the latest advances in cancer care, treatment, and research through media partners like the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, ABC7 Chicago, iHeartRadio and Hubbard Radio.

Dr. Maryellen Giger’s novel breast imaging analysis technology, QuantX, was highlighted in Sunday’s, September 29, 2019, Chicago Tribune. In the featured article, “A comfortable mammogram? Yes, and other impressive new breast cancer screening technologies”, QuantX’s contributions to improved breast cancer discovery and increased overall diagnostic improvement were detailed. Drs. Deepa Sheth’s and Gregory Karczmar’s revolutionary Abbreviated MRI technology was also described, along with its implications for more accurate scans at a reduced cost.
