Radiology and Internal Medicine Residents Team Up to Teach Imaging Appropriateness Concepts to Medical Students

Radiology resident Andree Magee and Internal Medicine Resident Mike Cheng present High Value Care: Imaging Wisely lectures medical students at the University of Chicago. The session focus on the American College of Radiology's Appropriateness Criteria, with the aim being for physicians to think more about imaging overuse or misuse, and how to refer to the ACR's Appropriateness Criteria when trying to decide what to order.


The first two sessions were held on September 7th and 14th.


The sessions were developed from a joint MERITS Scholars project between Radiologist Dr. Carina Yang and Internal Medicine Physician Dr. Joyce Tang.
