Dr Giger to Receive 2016 EMBS Academic Career Achievement Award

We are proud to announce that Maryellen Giger, PhD will receive the 2016 Academic Career Achievement Award from the Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) for her outstanding and pioneering contributions to computer-aided diagnosis.

Andrew Laine, President of EMBS, explains that, "This award is given annually to an individual 'For outstanding contribution and achievement in the field of Biomedical Engineering as an educator, researcher, developer, or administrator who has had a distinguished career of twenty years or more in the field of biomedical engineering.'"

Dr. Giger will receive her award during the opening ceremony of the annual international EMBS conference on August 17th, 2016.
